of the 290. Turn into the lot and park opposite the Home Depot Building, near
the Wal Mart Tire & Lube Sign, but still on Home Depot property. FACING
THE STORE, PARK ON THE RIGHT SIDE NEAR WALMART- BY THE CURB & TREES.
DEPARTURE Arrive at
least 15 minutes before departure time. Please be prompt, we cannot wait for late
arrivals. If circumstances cause you to be late, call 472-0826. RETURN
We do our utmost to return on time, but be aware that traffic, weather, customs,
etc. may delay our return. MOTORCOACH
DETAILS A. Lavatory Facilities: We will travel by motor coach
with lavatory. B. Seating: To assure fairness and comfort for all, coach seats
will be assigned by the date you register for the trip. If you want to sit with
friends on the coach, we recommend that you register together. For a group, seats
will be assigned in front or back of each other and you are welcome to interchange
seats among your group. SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted on the coach or in the dining area. WALKING/STAIRS
We make every effort to have the motorcoach drop off as close as possible, but
there is usually walking involved to reboard the coach, especially in cities like
Toronto. Also many restaurants and some small theaters may have stairs; especially
to gain access to the restrooms. Please check with us if you have questions.
SEATING FOR MEALS
Please let us know the names of all the people in your group WHEN YOU REGISTER
AND WE WILL BE HAPPY TO SEAT YOU TOGETHER FOR LUNCH OR DINNER. All gratuities
have been included in the price of the Day Trips. DRESS
Dress as you would for going out to a nice restaurant for lunch or dinner. If
there is a lot of walking, bring comfortable shoes; an extra pair can be left
on the coach. Some trips are very casual, so wear your picnic clothes.
Air conditioning can be chilly. ALWAYS BRING A SWEATER OR JACKET! Its a
good idea to wear a watch. SPECIAL NEEDS
ADVANCE NOTICE is required for special dietary requests or for handicap seating. CROSSING
INTO CANADA VIA MOTORCOACH ALL
PASSENGERS GOING INTO CANADA WILL NOW BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP
BEFORE BOARDING THE COACH. IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY
TO CHECK THAT EACH PERSON HAS THIS PROOF WITH THEM. IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE OTHER
PASSENGERS FROM A DELAY, ANYONE WHO CANNOT SHOW PROPER ID TO THE TOUR ESCORT,
WILL BE DENIED ENTRY ONTO THE COACH. FURTHERMORE, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND GIVEN
FOR THE MISSED TOUR.
UNTIL
MAY 31ST, 2009 No Passport required yet. You can still use your
government issued photo ID with Birth Certificate. Children must bring a Birth
Certificate. If they are not traveling with a parent, the child must have a notarized
permission note signed by the parent. BEGINNING
JUNE 1ST, 2009 All U.S. & Canadian citizens who are 16 and older
traveling between the U.S. and Canada, will be required to present one of the
following forms of ID: PASSPORT
PASSPORT CARD ENHANCED NYS DRIVER'S
LICENSE - OR ANY OTHER AUTHORIZED ENHANCED LICENSE
NEXUS CARD U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 15 years old &
under will still be allowed to travel with their birth certificate, as will teens
between the age of 16-18 if they are part of an adult supervised group. Children
who are not traveling with a parent, must have a notarized permission note signed
by the parent.
FILLED TRIP
If a trip is filled, leave your name and phone number on our WAIT LIST. We may
get a cancellation or run a duplicate trip in the future. WAITING
LIST Often seats do open up on a trip that was originally listed
as full because Continuing Education Programs that work with us have not used
all of their slots. We appreciate customers who respond to the Wait List.
DAY TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY
We are NOT ABLE TO SWITCH TRIPS OR DATES once you are registered. You must cancel,
with a $15.00 cancellation fee, and then re-register. Please do not ask us to
make exceptions. More than 14 days prior to the trip: (No play or event involved)
Full refund less $15.00 cancellation fee. Less than 14 days prior to the trip:
(No play or event involved) NO REFUND - You may send a substitute in your place.
We may be able to find a replacement from our interest list but WE CANNOT GUARANTEE
THIS WILL HAPPEN. If we do, we will give a full refund minus the $15.00 cancellation
fee. *DAY Trips Involving Plays or Prepaid Entertainment (See
starred events*) Since we purchase tickets well in advance that are non-refundable,
trips involving shows or tickets of any sort must be cancelled 45 days prior to
the performance to receive a full refund minus the $15.00 cancellation fee.
Less than 45 days: We will attempt to return as much of the trip cost as
we can if a replacement is not found. CANCELLATION
INSURANCE Cancellation Insurance can be purchased for any of
the Day Trips at a cost of $8.00 for each $100 of coverage. It must be purchased
with your reservation if you want it to cover pre-existing conditions. Feel free
to ask about it. PRICE CHANGES
Due to the continuously rising fuel costs and the
weakened US Dollar in Canada, all trip prices are subject to change.
| ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND
will be given for Cancellations the day of the trip or for "No Shows"
or for anyone without Proof of Citzenship as required by immigration. If you must
cancel the trip, call us immediately. For cancellations far in advance, we request
that you notify us in writing including your NAME, ADDRESS and the TRIP NAME and
DATE. EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY!! If you need to reach
us the "morning" of a trip departure, Call 472-0826. PRICE
CHANGES: Due to the continuously rising fuel costs and the weakened US
Dollar in Canada, all trip prices are subject to change. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Know How Tours, Inc. acts only as a booking agent & assumes no responsibility
for any delay, cancellations, changes in schedule or itinerary, loss, injury and
damage to or in respect of any persons, or properties however caused or arising
in connection with any services which may be used. Know How Tours will make every
effort to provide all aspects of the tour as listed in the description, but is
not responsible if any portion of the trip is missed due to delays relating to
transportation equipment problems, breakdowns, traffic, construction, weather,
border crossings, and any other circumstances that are out of our control. If
a refund can be secured from the vendor for the missed event, the refund will
be passed on to the passengers, otherwise there will be no refund. A
PASSENGER WHO, ON THE DAY OF THE TOUR, LEAVES DUE TO A DELAY THAT IS BEYOND OUR
CONTROL AS LISTED ABOVE, WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND IF THE TRIP DOES GO.
Know How Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour with appropriate advance
notice or if we are unable to fulfill the major portion of the tour. If Know How
Tours cancels the tour, a full refund will be made. | |
