IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE FESTIVAL & TRAIN RIDE
12/11/2010 SAT.,DEC.11 Take a nostalgic trip to SENECA FALLS, widely believed to be the inspiration for the holiday classic, IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Karolyn Grimes, the young child known as ZUZU, returns each year to meet the festival goers & to sign autographs. Enjoy a DELI LUNCHEON BUFFET at a landmark restaurant renamed THE HOTEL CLARENCE, for George Bailey’s guardian angel, who comes to his rescue & convinces him that he has made a difference to his community, and that he truly had a "Wonderful Life". After dining, have a short time to visit the Festival Activities, take a complimentary horse & buggy ride or explore the town and locations that inspired Mr. Capra in his visits to Seneca Falls in the early 1900's. Stand on the bridge that served as a prototype from which Jimmy Stewart's character leaped from, and other familiar sites from in the movie. Then hop aboard THE FINGER LAKES SCENIC RAILWAY and take a round trip ride through the small towns Villages- approx. 1˝ hour total. Bring the kids as Santa will be on the train and in the North Pole Village in town. A rest stop will be made on the way down and a food stop on the return. A WONDERFUL WAY TO SPEND THE DAY!
